This school year is coming to a close, which means college is just around the corner for many of you! The transition to college is full of changes. You will have a new schedule and new responsibilities. This can be difficult at first, but here are some nutrition tips to keep in mind:
- Don’t skip breakfast! Eat a breakfast with some protein (eggs, yogurt, or nut butter) and whole grain carbs
- Stock up on snacks. Keep healthy snacks on hand. A good choice will have less than 10 grams of sugar and more than 3 grams of fiber.
- Hydrate! Keep a bottle of water with you all day, and refill it often.
- Alcohol. If you’re over 21 and drinking alcohol, remember to be smart. Don’t mix drinks and make sure you rotate water/alcohol/water.
